Mirror City

I still remember the day that I left Venice, after having been there on a visit for the first time. I was running late for the train, carrying my suitcase, looking fondly around me and trying to imprint in my memory some last pictures of this magical city...

And in my haste, I recall wondering what could possibly make a city so beautiful? Is it architecture? Landscapes? People? Culture? Or that je-ne-sais-quoi that no one will ever discover?
